The eBusiness SIG continually works to innovate and create new programs for the benefit of our members. In order to do so, the SIG has been and continues to be run by individuals that donate their skills and time. This is where you come in. We are looking for eager individuals to help us implement new ideas. Each member of the PMI eBusiness SIG is encouraged to participate in some way during their membership.
Why get involved?
Contributing to SIG activities not only betters the SIG, but it also benefits you in many ways. For example, you will have the opportunity to:
- Meet and/or work with other like-minded project managers from around the world
- Learn new project management skills
- Enhance your professional skills (writing, presentation, leadership, etc.)
- Stay connected with those involved in the SIG
- Share your passion for project management
- Earn Professional Development Units (PDUs)
- Help those in your community
- Have a great time
- Make a positive difference
We want your participation - We want you to Get Involved. Whatever your interest or strength, the PMI eBusiness SIG encourages you to become actively involved in making this an outstanding organization!
To learn more about how volunteers positively shape PMI, watch the recently updated "Volunteer Opportunity" on-demand presentation and video.
How can I help?
We are looking for individuals to help out in all areas of the organization. A listing of current openings is available on the volunteer opportunities webpage. You may see a particular area in which you have a talent and a desire to assist the SIG. If you would like to help out in an area other than one that is listed, let us know. We are happy to work with you in creating an opportunity in which you can help out!
How much time is required?
Volunteer opportunities range from short-term commitments of a few hours to long-term committee lead roles. The PMI eBusiness SIG has many different opportunities available, and the hours and skills required for each opportunity vary. We have volunteer opportunities to fit everyone’s busy schedule.
How do I get involved?
If you are interested in volunteering, please complete and submit a Volunteer Application. Your application will be received by the Volunteer Chair, and you will be contacted to discuss which assignments are a best fit for your needs. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Board of Directors, please complete and submit a Board of Directors Statement of Interest.
