2008 MANAGEMENT PLAN
In support of the Project Management Institute (PMI), which has a defined purpose of dedication "to advancing the state-of-the-art in the management of projects", the E-Business SIG (EBSIG) upholds the following commitments:
MISSION
The mission of the eBusiness SIG is to enhance the effectiveness of PMI eBusiness practitioners around the globe by providing access to leading-edge eBusiness program and project management news, knowledge and practices.
GOALS
- Provide up-to-date information about trends in E-Business
- Establish a forum for communication of lessons learned and best practices between Project Managers performing projects in E-Business
- Establish standards and practices that are unique to managing E-Business projects
OBJECTIVES

Prepare for NA Global Congress

Publish Monthly Newsletters for the remainder of the year

2005 Objectives
- Continue to drive increase in membership
- Continue to expand programs and practices globally
- Develop a membership mentoring framework
- Develop a job posting/search self-help framework
2004 Objectives
- Increase collaboration with leading eBusiness institutions and individuals to promote eBusiness project management principles and practices
- Make our website a primary source for eBusiness program and project management practitioners
- Develop a participatory membership volunteer environment
- Strengthen ties to outside organizations
2003 Objectives
- Produce a quarterly newsletter and distribute to membership
- Fill all open board positions
- Represent the SIG at the PMI Global Congress for eBusiness project managers
- Increase sponsorship to support new programs
- Deliver five or more free on-line educational seminars to our members
2002 Objectives
- Publish three (3) EBSIG Newsletters
- Publish an Annual Directory of EBSIG Members
- Create and maintain a memebers-only Yahoo eGroups community with value-add content for eBusiness project managers
- Hold an Annual Business Meeting for all EBSIG Members
- Produce a Track at the 2002 PMI Seminar/Symposium
- Increase the availability of Project Management information about eBusiness Projects by updating the SIF Web Site to include "lessons learned"
- Hold three(3) web seminars on E-Business project management and retain re-playable content in the members-only repository
