Inhouse Consultant and Project Manager for E-business

Thomas started his career as a biologist. Fascinated by the upcoming internet in the mid 90's, he changed his profession and worked for various internet agencies as a programmer. Since 2000, he has been working for the German subsidiary of a Swiss insurance company as a project manager in E-business. During the first years he was responsible for the setup of different online platforms including the integration of legacy systems. For a few years now, he has worked as an inhouse consultant for E-business. His role has changed to a conceptual and strategic level for E-business on a group wide basis including all aspects of online marketing and web analytics. Besides his job, he is interested in the evolution of the internet regarding social media and virtual communities.
Thomas holds a diploma in biology from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and a certificate for the production of multimedia applications from a local institution. In the early nineties, he spent two summer semesters at the University of Alberta, Canada. In 2004, he joined PMI and became a member of the EBSIG in 2006. Also in 2006, Thomas received his PMP certification.

Mr. Stanley Ng is the Senior Vice President, Business Development and Project Management in Asiatic Centre for Genome Technology, a Genting Company. In this capacity, he assists the Chief Executive Officer in business development and commercialization of genomic projects for oil crops.
Mr. Ng experience is in technology enablement and commercialization. He has strategically enabled businesses to drive innovation and value creation through a combination of technology and best practices.
His previous role was as Senior Vice President, eBusiness at eGenting Holdings Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Genting International PLC. He oversees and manages technology enabled customer touch-point services, technology and solutions. This include the World Reservation Centre - a multi-channel contact center, WorldCard - Loyalty network and interactive marketing services, Leisure, Hospitality & Entertainment solutions, technology and integration services.
Mr. Ng has 19 years experience in the Information Technology industry. Prior to joining eGenting, he was the Chief Technology Officer of Tradenex.com Sdn. Bhd. driving the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers’ Industry level supply chain initiatives which includes Rosettanet, Data Synchronization for the FMCG industry and Manufacturing portal.
He has held various regional positions with multinational IT companies including Director of Business Solutions Group at Microsoft and founded Microsoft’s MSC Malaysia initiative, the Microsoft Knowledge Capital Centre. He was part of Microsoft’s Internet 100, the 100 internet evangelist worldwide that drives Microsoft push into the internet space, starting with Internet Explorer 1.0. He also held the positions of Regional Sales and Market Development Manager and Product Development Manager with Hewlett-Packard (Asia-Pacific) Pte. Ltd.
Mr. Ng’s other experience included co-founding a software start-up company focusing on CRM(Customer Relationship Management) Groupware in 1994.
Mr. Ng is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has a degree in Computer Science and Management Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma, USA.
